What is a language?

The process of making someone understand from your own thoughts and feelings is called language. It doesn’t matter if you are using any part of the body, but it is essential to make him understand by expressing your thoughts.

Allah (SWT) has created all the living things with the ability to express their feelings to another one. Even an insect can also reveal his thoughts using a specific language. Similarly, a dumb person can also show his sentiments by indications to other people and they understand his feelings.

Beginning of learning a language

When a child born, he doesn’t know any language and can’t speak a single word. At that time he only expresses his problems through crying. He passes time in a society with different people and observes them. The journey of his learning a language starts from here. Gradually he learns different things depressively from society.

A child in the initial time learns his mother tongue without any difficulties. When he grows up to five years, he has been availed further knowledge through going to school for getting an early education. He learns different non-native languages over there.

Why do we learn English?

Learning the English language is indeed necessary for the present era. English is an international language and it can speak in each country. English can give us an easy and comprehensive way to express our thoughts and sentiments in each country on earth. Our curriculum in the educational field has been published in the English language, so we can not proceed with our education without learning English. That’s why Sir Sayyed Ahmad Khan had emphasized the learning of English for the Muslims at that time. If we want to progress in any educational field, that is impossible without understanding the English language.
